Snow in Los Angeles

Jan 17th, 2007 - Snow in Los Angeles? Its never happened in my lifetime Surprised. Well, it did snow yesterday out here in Los Angeles. Its snowed in Malibu of all places, famous for its sunshine and beaches. Well, I happened to be out for lunch yesterday and while I did not get to see snow, I got to see a lot of ice. There was a big hailstorm and there was a shower of small icy rocks for about 15 minutes. Our car had ice over it. It was a cool site and everyone had their cell phones out clicking pictures and taking videos. Its Hollywood and every one always has a camera around here. Smile

Happy Birthday to Me

 Image

Jan 15th, 2007 - I turned 11 months today. I celebrate my birthday every month this first year. I think I was in fine form all day. I seemed to have an extra burst of energy, no desire to sleep and as usual "do my own stunts". As you can see, mt T-Shirt makes a statement.  To celebrate my 11th month birthday, my mother had made Chicken Biryani. In the evening, when my parents were having dinner, I sampled a little. I liked the taste of Biryani. Can't wait to grow up and have more. My grandmother always calls up on the 15th of every month to wish me and she called today too. Soon I will be a year old.

Trip to the Malibu Hindu Temple

Image

Jan 14th, 2007 - Today is a big Hindu festival, Makar Sankranti and so we decided to go to the temple. The Hindu temple at Malibu is the nearest temple for us and we go there fairly often. We started the day by going to Babies R Us store to buy some new clothes for me. I seem to be outgrowing my existing set of clothes. From the store we went to the temple. It was a long drive and I got a bit uncomfortable along the way. Once we got there, we visitied all the deities . I seemed to like the sounds of the temples bells. I also ate some prasadam too.

From the temple we headed back towards home and we had lunch at AnnaPurna restaurant in Culver City. I tried some Channa Bathura and some dosa as well. I like the taste of spicy food.

Dinner at Thai Klang Dong

ImageJan 13, 2006 - Its  been a fairly slow Saturday today. We spent most of the day at home today since my father was busy watching the NFL playoffs. We saw Indianapolis Colts beat the Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans beat Philly. In the evening my parents went to Thai Klang Dong, a favorite local Thai restaurant. Once the food arrived, I started banging on the table asking for a small taste and I really liked the food a lot. I spent the rest of the evening on nibbling on the Thai Basil Fried Rice and the Sweet Corn soup. My parents used to frequent this place when I was in the womb and I suppose thats where I must have got the taste for Thai food. See on video by clicking on the read more link. Its not very clear because of the dim lighting.

See my new hairstyle

ImageJan 10th, 2007  - Ever since I was born, I seem to have more hair on the head than the average baby my age. In fact, most people mistake me for a girl. Embarassed According to some Hindu beliefs, I am not supposed to get a haircut until I turn one and so my parents have not cut my pair. Its grown so long now that I have to tie my hair in a pony tail or comb it down with some water. Take a look at some of the pictures.
