Lets Recycle

Image

10th Dec, 2007 -  With the amount of waste we all produce these days, its a good idea to recycle. My parents try and recycle as much as they can. They collect all the plastic cans and then throw them in the recycle bin. Seeing all those plastic cans gets me very excited and I  play with them. Today I was trying to hold 5 cans and take them down to the garage to recycle. My parents had a great laugh at my expense.

Anyway, please recycle as I will be inheriting the environment when I grow up.

Touchdown

Image

9th Dec, 2007 - Sunday is Football day at our house. My father loves to watch the Football games on Sunday and I also sit and watch the games with him. I noticed that he says the word "touchdown" a lot and then throws his hands in the air and I also started doing that now. I run around the house saying "teh-dow" and get all excited.

Are you ready for some football?

Troubling Bapamma

Image

7th Dec, 2007- My father's mother (Bapamma) is visiting us from India and I have found that I can have my way with her. We kids realize that our grandparents are soft and we take full advantage of it.

Every time she tries to go up to the bedroom, I run after her and ask me to take her up. Every time she eats lunch or dinner, I climb on the table and put my hand in her plate and pour her glass of water. I go into her room and try and pull everything out of the cupboard. I have already destroyed a pair of her glasses.

Hope she does not leave because of me.

Trip to the Griffith Observatory

Image Dec 1st, 2007 -  My parents and my grandmother took me to the Griffith Observatory in the Hollywood Hills. My parents had never been there since they arrived in LA as it was closed for construction for so long. We drove to the observatory and got there early and were lucky to find a good parking spot. Once I got there, my father let me out and I had a great time running around the park. My parents and grandma took a tour of the park while I ran around. I also saw a sun-dial for the first time. I made friends with one of the ground-staff person. I gave him my long-drawn sweet "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai". The location is great, you can see most of Los Angeles from here. You can see the Hollywood sign up-close.

After we finished seeing the view and taking pictures, we went for lunch to my mother's favorite restaurants, Al-Wazir Chicken. I did not let them have lunch and we had to pack the food and take it home.

You're Welcome

Image  4th Dec, 2007 - I should be talking a little more for my age, but hey at least I am writing a blog. My parents were surprised to when I said "Wey-come" when they said "Thank you" to me. They do not use the word around me and were surprised that I knew the word. Its probably something that I saw on the television.
