Baby Shower in the OC

 | July 14th, 2007 - One of my mother's friend had a baby shower today so we went to their home in Irvine. We had a nice long drive and as usual a rocking car put me right to sleep. Also, the last mile is when I wake up and start screaming and today was no different. We went into their house and there was a traditional Konkani ceremony conducted. I was very restless and my father had to hold me back otherwise I would have dropped a lot of stuff on the floor. |
After the ceremony was completed, we had some "Tanni", Konkani for Tea and Snacks. There was some nice Batata Vada, Sheera among other things. Once I was let loose, I started attacking the cupboards and slowly things started moving to a higher ground. Eventually my father took me to the balcony and I spent almost an hour with the water-can. I had great fun with the water can. There was another baby there. Her name is Nikita and she is 9 months old so for the first time, I was the big baby. I played with her a little, but in general, the kitchen looked more fun than playing with her.
At some point, I became a bigger risk being indoors and my father took me down to the garden and let me loose.
BTW, I looked like a big boy with my shirt.
