Cowboys Stadium Tour

Jan 5th, 2013 - Today, we visited the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. We were supposed to go a few days ago but because of the snow storm, the decided to shut down the stadium for the day. Madhuri Akka, Dad and I drove down to Arlington in the morning to visit the stadium. The Cowboys Stadium is one of the newest and most expensive stadiums in the world. It cost over 1 BILLION dollars to build. The TV screen is about 60 yards long. I am sure Dad would like to have one at home if he could. We got our tickets from the ticket office and headed straight to the ground. The staff working at the stadium is very friendly and they showed us the way to the ground and explained everything with a smile.

The nice thing about the Cowboys stadium is that they allow us to play on the ground. It was amazing to throw the ball on the field just like Tony Romo does and catch a pass like Dez Bryant or Miles Austin. We threw the football for a long time and I had to reluctantly leave the field to finish the rest of the tour.

We then went inside to see the Cowboys locker room and I was able to see everyone's lockers and where they keep their stuff before the games. We even wore their gear and took some pictures. We also saw the Press Room and I stood on the podium and pretended like I gave a speech.  We found a drain cover Made in India too. How cool is that?

We went back on the field and played some more. I just wanted to stay there. We left the stadium and had lunch at a nearby Lebanese restaurant called Prince, which was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins and Dives show.

It was a great trip and Akka enjoyed it too. Thanks to the stadium for allowing me to play on the field. I think I am a Cowboys fan for life.
