April 22nd, 2006 - Padmaja Phenany Joglekar is a renowned singer from India. Besides her success with her albums, she has also been awarded the Padmashree in 2001. She also happens to be my aunt. She is currently touring the US playing to some private audiences to raise money for some worthy causes in India. She is playing a couple of concerts in Los Angeles this weekend and my granparents went to see one of her shows. The show was at the residence of Mr Vidya and Ashok Sapre in La Habra. I was unable to go the show. The turnout was good and people enjoyed the show. The show went on for about 4 hours and the crowd wanted more. My other aunt Usha, her husband and Padmaja Aunty's husband Sunil also came to LA. When I grow up, I will also go and watch her sing. |

April 15th, 2006 - Today was a big day in the family. My cousin sisters Neha, Anoushka, my aunt Seema and my grandfather came to LA from India. They are having their summer vacation right now and they decided to spend the holidays with me. Isn't that nice. They just got home today and I thought they would be tired and exhausted, but no, they are bright and running around. Looks like they slept on the flight. They are very excited to be in the US and are looking forward to visiting Disneyland, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo among other things. |

29th May 2006 - I finally learned to turn over and lie on my stomach. It took 3 months and 2 weeks into my life. I was pretty excited that I kept doing in over and over again. My parents had to finally stop me and put me to sleep. By the morning, I had forgotten this new thing I learnt until I turned over again and then I continued turning over. I suppose this is the first of many "turning points" in my life.......Everyone wants to be a comic these days.....Watch the season premiere of the Last Comic Standing on NBC tomorrow night. |

29th May 2006 Memorial Day - Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday that is observed on the last Monday of May. It was formerly known as Decoration Day. This holiday commemorates U.S. men and women who died in military service for their country. It began first to honor Union soldiers who died during the American Civil War. After World War I, it expanded to include those who died in any war or military action. Nowadays most Americans use the date as merely marking the unofficial start of the summer vacationing season as many government parks and beaches start their summer schedule on the Friday before.
