Baby, you can drive my car
March 6, 2007 - My cousin Ayush has a lot of toys to play with and I am having a great time playing with those toys but I seem to be fascinated by his car. Everytime I sit in the car, I get all excited and start turning the steering wheel like I am possessed by some race driver's spirit. I love turning the key and the wheel on the car and drool once in a while. My dad said he will buy me a car too once we return to LA. Who knew I would love cars this much. I guess that is a sign that boys are wired differnetly from girls. I cannot wait to get back and have my own car. My mother a car this year and soon I will have mine too. |
Its Time to Party at Jumpin Jacks
March 4, 2007 - Today is the official birthday bash of my cousin Ayush. My aunt had booked this place called Jumpin Jacks which has a bunch of inflatable rides for small kids to play. There were about 10 other kids that were invited to the party. We started the party by playing on the rides. Since I still don't walk, I found it difficult to go on all the rides. My parents held me and made me slide down some of the rides. I was not scared one bit and I really had a good time. After playing for sometime, we all went to the party room to cut the cake and have some fun there. This was the first time I have been on such rides and I really had a great time. |
After the party, we went to Tandoor for a late lunch. I slept on the car ride over to the restaurant but once we got there, the smell of the food must have woken me up. I had a bit of Mango Lassi too.
Happy Birthday Ayush Anna
March 3, 2007 - Today is my cousin Ayush's birthday. He turns two years old today. This means one thing, we get to cut and eat cake. My aunt had decorated the house with ballons for him. He likes Elmo so we had some Elmo ballons too. I had a good time playing with the baloons. The other thing that happened to today was the arrival of my father from Los Angeles. I had come to Des Moines earlier and when he arrived, I seem to have forgotten him and got all shy. It took me a few minutes to get back in the groove again. |
In the evening, we cut an ice-cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery. It was a nice cake. I got to taste just a little bit. The big party is tomorrow and I am all excited.
First Snow
March 1, 2007 - Since I live in LA, I do not get to see snow, although it did fall in LA a few months go. On this trip to Des Moines, I got to see two major snow storms and that left a lot of snow outside my aunt's home. My parents took me to the snow to see how I would react. I seemed to like the cold touch on my hands. Lets hope that when I grow up, I will be able to got to a place with snow and build a snow man, throw some snowballs etc. |
Lakers vs Suns Game 4
April 29th, 2007 - There are many people in the world who want to watch a Lakers game and Amiya uncle is on of them. He wanted to see a live game and what better game than a play-off game. My father managed to get tickets for all of to go and watch the Lakers play the Suns in Game 4 of the 2007 playoffs. Lucky me, I have no idea but I was excited just to go out. |
The game was at 12:30 and so we left a little early. We drove into downtown LA to pick up the tickets and my father got a little lost as there were a lot of street closures that day. We finally managed to get the tickets and reached the Staples Center. It was a major party scene there. I was quiet when the game started but as the Lakers started trailing, I think I got bored and started troubling my father. I took a nap during half-time even though the band was playing right next to me. The rest of the game I was running around.
The Lakers lost and should be out of the play-offs. :-(
Univeral Studios Hollywood
April 28th, 2007 - It seems like anytime we have visitors, we make a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood. Everyone knows Hollywood and so its probably the best destination for most adults. Since uncle Amiya was in town, we decided to take him there for the day. We left for Universal by around 9. We got delayed because my father's car had some startup problems. There were long lines to get in, but we managed to get in by around 10 AM. We started off with the Studio tour and midway through the tour, I started crying out loud and there was no way to pacify me. I was hungry and my father left the diaper bag in the stroller. The tour guide said we would have to get off. Luckily a nice lady from India, offered me some Parle G biscuits which calmed me down and we did not get thrown out. |
The Studio tour had the sets of War of the Worlds, some cars from Fast and the Furious, the Mummy, Psycho, Desperate Housewives among other things.
