Sentosa Island - My first cable car ride

 | Nov 4th, 2006 - One of the major attractions in Singapore is Sentosa Island. Its a small island off the mainland and has been specially built for tourism. We took a taxi cab to the main starting point. My father bought the tickets and then we went up to the Cable Car ride. There is a beautiful cable car that connects Sentosa Island and the mainland. On the other side, the cable car connects to Mt Faber. We first took the cable car to Mt Faber. We got a nice view of the city from Mt Faber and then took some pictures there.

On the way back, we went straight to Sentosa Island. There was a nice Finnish husband and wife who were travelling to New Zealand and had stopped over in Singapore for a couple of days. We reached the island in about 10 minutes. I really enjoyed my first cable car ride. There are lots of things to do on Sentosa Island like a wax musuem, aquarium, the carlsberg tower, 3D Cinema, Go-Karts etc. If you like to go to a beach, there are plenty of beaches on the Island.
