Birthday Shopping

Feb 9th, 2008 - Its my 2nd birthday next week and my parents are doing all the shopping for the party. We first went to Party City to get the plates, cups, spoons etc. Its a really big store. I think they are planning on a Barney theme for my birthday because everything they bought was purple in color. The store had so many ballons and I made sure my dad got me one. From Party City we went to Gelsons market in Marina Del Rey. They have some of the best cakes around where we live. My parents ordered a cake for my birthday but they did not tell me what it is. I figure.....Barney?? I had my Mickey Mouse cap on and many people were giving me a smile. Its a small world after all. |
SuperBowl XLII

Feb 3rd, 2008 - Today is probably the biggest sports day of the year in America, SuperBowl Sunday. Most of the country comes to a standstill while the game is going on. This year the two teams that made it to the SuperBowl were the New England Partiots and the New York Giants with the Patriots favored to win as they had a not lost a single game this season. My parents had planned to spend the afternoon in front of the TV and we had food and drinks to go with the game. My mother had made some Tandoori Chicken. The game was very exciting and went down to the last few seconds and my father was all excited with me screaming "Tuh-Dow Tuh-Dow". In the end the underdog Giants beat Patriots 17-14. This will probably be one of the greatest Super Bowls ever. |
Happy Birthday Siddhu Maam

Feb 1st, 2008 - Happy Birthday Siddhu Maam. Today is my uncle Siddhu's birthday. We call him in India and wished him the very best. My father is in Dallas and he will be coming back home in the evening. My Baapa is also coming this weekend. I am very excited. |
My new Day Bed

Mar 30th, 2008 - My parents bought a crib for me when I was born and I think I slept in it for about a year. After that, I have relocated to my parents bed for the last 1 year. Now that we moved to Dallas, my father reassembled the crib so that it could be a day bed that I can jump in and out of. I quite like it as you can see. I promptly climbed into it, made myself comfortable and started reading a book. My parents are probably hoping that I will like the bed as much at night as I am loving it right now. We shall see.  |
Fun at the Rodeo Park

Mar 26th, 2008 - My parents were searching for a new park for me to go play. There is one right behind our apartment called Rodeo Park and its on Rodeo Drive (not the famous one). The park is pretty small compared to the one 1 went to in Los Angeles. It has a slide and a couple of swings. There is also a small basketball half-court. I had a lot of fun sliding down the slides with my parents helping me when needed. There were many other kids in the park today because it was a beautiful sunny day. |
Happy Birthday Anoushka Akka

Mar 21st, 2008 - Today is my Anoushka akka's 5th birthday. She lives in Bangalore so we called her and wished her a happy birthday. She is planning to have a party and cake in the evening just like I had for my birthday. Akka, wish you a very very wonderful birthday and a great year ahead. |
