Raksha Bandhan
19th Sep, 2007 - Rakhsa Bandhan is a Hindu festival celebrating the relationship between brothers and sisters. The sister ties a Rakhhi to the brother and the brother vows to protect her. I have two cousin sisters, Neha Akka and Anoushka Akka who are both in India and they sent me a Rakhi for Raksha Banhdhan. The Rakhis arrived ny mail today (thanks to some Postal delays) and my mother tied the rakhi's on my hand. Obviously they did not stay on for more than two minutes as I wanted to tear it apart. Once I grow up, I will take care of my two sisters. Thanks for the Rakhis Akkas. You should have your gift soon. |
Masti Masti and more Masti
Sep 17th, 2007 - If you have not realized it by now, most of my time is spent doing Mast, Masti and more Masti. In between my Masti, I eat, drink and sleep but my prime goal in life at this point is to do masti and figure out how I can get better at it. Hey, at least I have some goals and objectives in life. In the last few weeks, I have learnt to drag chairs and climb on things, turn off the light switches, turn off the television. Today was another normal day, I made a scene and managed to get hold of the rice bag and spill a bunch of it over the floor. |
Rocker Uncle
Sep 15th, 2007 - Today Sidharth Uncle has come to stay at our home for a few days. He has come from Mumbai to LA to study at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood. He is going to improve his guitar skills and become a ROCKSTAR. He arrived in the afternoon and my parents were trying to keep him awake so that he does not have Jetlag. Since it was Ganesh Chaturti yesterday, we decided to go to the Malibu Temple. We went to the temple and it was quite crowded. We prayed to all the gods and returned home. Uncle was very tired and went right to sleep. He must be all excited as he will be going to his institute tomorrow. |
Ganpati Bappa Morya
Sep 14th, 2007 - Today is Ganesh Chaturti, a big Hindu festival in India and a big festival in our family as well. My mother gets very excited about this festival. She had been preparing for it last night. She woke up early and did a Pooja and both Dad and I participated in it. She then made some "God Poha" for breakfast. For the rest of the day, she made some vegetarian "festival food". We called up my grandparents and wished them well too. Tomorrow we will visit the temple as well. Today is Swapna Akka's birthday too and tomorrow Sidharth uncle will be coming to stay with us for a few days. Ganpati Bapaa.............Morrrrrrrryyyyyyyyaaaaaa!!! |
Polar Bears at the San Diego Zoo
Sep 3rd, 2007 - One of the first places my parents took me at Sea World was the Polar Bear exhibit. I had never seen a polar bear in my life (its not like I am 80 years old). Thanks to modern day technology I can see a polar bear in 90 degree heat right here in San Diego. The exhibit was really nice and cold. I waved to them and I think one of them actually came by to say hello to me. I was not scared. They are really cute animals.
Any Given Sunday
Sep 10, 2007 - The 2007 NFL season kicked off on Thursday and the defending champs, the Indianapolis Colts defeated the New Orleans Saints. The rest of the games for week one will be played today. My father was stuck to the couch all morning. He was all excited about watching Randy Moss and Tom Brady teaming up. He was happy as they combined for 182 yards. The Sunday for next few months will be spent in front of the TV culminating in the Super Bowl and guess what.....I will be 2 years old then. |
