Trip to the Griffith Observatory
Dec 1st, 2007 - My parents and my grandmother took me to the Griffith Observatory in the Hollywood Hills. My parents had never been there since they arrived in LA as it was closed for construction for so long. We drove to the observatory and got there early and were lucky to find a good parking spot. Once I got there, my father let me out and I had a great time running around the park. My parents and grandma took a tour of the park while I ran around. I also saw a sun-dial for the first time. I made friends with one of the ground-staff person. I gave him my long-drawn sweet "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai". The location is great, you can see most of Los Angeles from here. You can see the Hollywood sign up-close. |
After we finished seeing the view and taking pictures, we went for lunch to my mother's favorite restaurants, Al-Wazir Chicken. I did not let them have lunch and we had to pack the food and take it home.
You're Welcome
4th Dec, 2007 - I should be talking a little more for my age, but hey at least I am writing a blog. My parents were surprised to when I said "Wey-come" when they said "Thank you" to me. They do not use the word around me and were surprised that I knew the word. Its probably something that I saw on the television. |
Having a good time
Nov 29th, 2007 - I was in a good mood today. My mother was making me laugh in the evening and I was running around the house laughing my head off
Fun at the Del Amo Mall
24th Nov, 2007 - We went to the 99 Ranch Market and then the Del Amo Mall later afternoon. My mother and grandmother went shopping at the Crate and Barrel store. My father did not want me there (they have a large section of glass-based products). So my father took me to the Del Amo mall. The mall had a merry-go-round and I had a lot of fun playing on it. Three other kids came along and we went round and round. After that, I found another photo-booth and started playing there. Finally we picked up some lunch from Belacan Grill and went home. The long-weekend is coming to an end, it was a great Thanksgiving week. |
Visit to the Hoover Dam
20th Nov, 2007 - The Hoover Dam is about 20 miles outside of Las Vegas and is quite a famous landmark in the US. We decided to go see the Hoover Dam. I started getting hungry in the car and started crying. Once we got there, I ate a little bit of food and seemed to get all my energy back. I started running all around the place. There were other kids like me there and we played and had a lot of fun. I did not want to leave the place, but my parents put me in my car seat and away we went. On the way back, we stopped for Buffet at the Hacienda Hotel and Casino. The people there were very friendly. |
