300 millionth baby
Oct 17th 2006 - Well, Its not me. I was born on the 15th of February so I figure I must be in the 299 millionth group. Guess I was one in a million. The US census bureau estimates that with a baby being born every 8 seconds, someone dying every 12 seconds and the nation gaining an immigrant every 31 seconds on average, the population is growing by one person every 14 seconds. Today, October 17th 2006, the clock officially crossed the 300,000,000 mark at around 8:00 AM this morning. Its taken the US about 40 years to go from 200 million to 300 million. |
More Shopping
October 15th, 2006 - Shopping is the national pastime in the US and looks like I love this pastime. We wnet to Babies 'R Us today to shop some more for our trip to India. This time it was more for the essentials such as baby wipes, travel soap, disposable bibs, diapers etc. This is first time I will be leaving the country, going on a long flight so my parents want to be absolutely sure that I have a good time. We got all the things that we wanted. I had my lunch at the Mothers Break Room in the store. After that we went to the Belacan Grill for lunch. Its a Malaysian restaurant in Redondo Beach that my parents have begun to like. They had some Chicken Satay, Nasi Lemak and Grilled Eggplant. They really liked the Grilled Eggplant. After that we went to Target to get some more essentials and then headed back home for a relaxing evening. |
Camarillo Outlet Mall
Oct 14th, 2006 - I will be visiting India in the month of November and so my parents are out shopping for gifts and goodies for our family back home and some clothes for me. We like Camarillo Premium Outlet Mall as its a single place where most of the clothes retailers have stores. We went to all the kids clothing stores like Hartstrings, Baby Gap, Carters, Osh-Kosh-BGosh. My parents bought me a bunch of new clothes that I will be wearing on the flight and in India. I am going to be looking goooooooood. I also sat on one of the rides, it was a police car. I got scared at first but then I seemed to enjoy it. Can someone help me understand why I seem to have visited only the Ladies room and never been to the Mens Room.......... |
Friday the 13th
Oct 13th 2006 - Its the first Friday the 13th of my life and it makes me terribly nervous. The good thing is that its Friday so I am happy that my parents will be with me over the weekend. I had a pretty normal day at home, played around the house, had my feeds on a regular basis, hassled my mother a little bit...............the usual stuff. In the evening, we went to Costco to do some shopping and for some reason I got really sick and threw up all my dinner, 7 oz of milk, all over me. It was the first time in my life that I threw up like this. Guess "Friday the 13th" did really affect me. I am not looking forward to Halloween . See the pumpkins in the background. |
Fun with Cousin Ayush
Oct 11th, 2006 - I am feeling a lot better today. My fever has gone down, but my cough and cold remains. I slept well last night (slept like a baby). I was in a good mood today and I spent the day playing with my cousin Ayush. We played downstairs in the living room for almost all day. He will be returning back to Des Moines on Thursday. I will really miss him. We have had many guests at home ever since I was born and I really have a good time when there are people in the house. Click on the link below to see some pictures of me and Ayush. |
My first All Nighter
October 9th, 2006 - Last night was my first all-nighter according to my parents. I seemed to have picked up a fever, along with some cough and cold and I did not sleep much at all. I was crying all night and my parents had to console me. Finally at around 6 AM, I got a little tired and slept for a couple of hours. Later that morning, we went to see Dr Woo again. He checked me and said that all I had was some fever, cough and cold and there was nothing to worry about. No medicines...All I had to do was take some Infant Tylenol in case the temperature went above 100 F. As the day progressed, I began to feel much better. I hope I get some sleep tonight. I really want my parents to get a good night's rest. |
