Why do they use the S Word in Bollywood movies?
March 5th, 2010 - I was born in Hollywood, but Bollywood runs in my blood. Ever since I can remember, I love watching and listening to Bollywood songs. My dad used to get these song DVDs and I would sit and watch them. The first song that I can remember was "Deewangi Deewangi" from Om Shanti Om, then I got hooked onto Jhoom Barabar Bhoom, Dostana, Billu and now I like the song Ektara. Now that I am four, my parents do not let me watch the Bollywood movies and it mainly has to do with the free use of the word that starts with an S and ends with a HIT! Well, you see, these Bollywood actors and directors don't realize that kids like us like to watch these movies and if you say Oh S, Oh S, Oh S....thats the first thing we pick up. Another word my parents don't want me to pick up also starts with S and ends with TUPID. Because of that I have not seen any movie in the last so many days. My dad only puts songs for me. So, can these directors please stop using the S word unless its really essential to the plot. In the words of Mr Shakthi Kapoor....main ek nanha sa, pyaara sa bacchha so....please let me be that way. Have a nice weekend. My Dad said he will take me to the Dallas Auto Show and show me some cars including a Lamborghini and an Aston Martin. |
Trip to NTX Auto Museum in Richardson
![]() | Oct 3rd, 2009 - For those of you who have met me or been reading my blog, you know my fascination with cars. My dad stumbled upon this new car museum in Dallas called the NTX Auto Museum which is in Richardson. We did not know what to expect as no one else knew about this place. We went there this morning and there were only 2-3 other visitors to that museum. The musuem had about 70-80 cars and they had many Mercedes Benz cars all the way from the 1930s to new ones. They also had a very old Ford car, a Shelby, some Mustangs, Jeeps and 3 Lotus racing cars. I had never seen a racing car from so close before. After we left the museum, we spent some time at a local mall and finally had lunch at a place called the "Fish on Fire". We had some fried fish, corn, fries and blackened fish. |
Fun at the Mustang Park in Irving
 | 22nd Mar, 2009 - Its spring time and the weather is quite pleasant in Dallas so my parents decided to take me to a new park in Las Colinas area called the Mustang Park. The Dallas area is filled with parks and this is one of many in the area. It has a few slides and lots of place to run. Since it was a Sunday evening, there were lots of kids around and I had a lot of fun. I ran around for about an hour and my parents decided it was time to head home. Bet, I am going to fall asleep quickly tonight.  |
I met the Easter Bunny
 | 21st Mar, 2009 - We went to the Grapevine Mills Mall today to stimulate the economy and guess who I met there, the Easter Bunny. The bunny was sitting there and I went and said hello to him. He came over to me and gave me some jelly beans and I was very happy. I also wanted to buy some foam soap from the mall which I really love. |

Open House at Rockbrook Montessori
 | 11th Mar, 2009 - Today was Open House at school which meant all the parents could come to school and see all the work we have done this year and see the progress that we have made so far. My parents had no idea what they were in for. They thought it was some lecture session. I was the first to arrive from my class and our teachers Ms Humeira and Ms Zubi were there. The entire wall had all our work neatly arranged. I quickly identified my work on the wall and showed it to my parents. My artwork was also on the table and I showed it to my parents. All my friends came by and we had a great time. My parents were very happy and proud of my work. They are very happy they enrolled me in Rockbrook Montessori. |
Easter Egg Hunting
 | April 9th, 2009 - Its Easter on Sunday and our school had an Easter Egg hunting event at school today. My parents had to pack a dozen plastic eggs with some candy and give it to me along with a nice basket when I went to school. My teachers took all the eggs from my classmates and hid it in the grass outside and asked us to go and find them. I managed to find a basket full of different colors and designs. It was a lot of un and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to Easter next year and enjoying my candy for the next few days. |
